Girl Relaxing Porcelain Figurine by L. Tomaszewski, AS Ćmielów

Porcelain Relax figurine designed in 1965 by Lubomir Tomaszewski. Nowadays produced by AS Ćmielów. It was handmade of the highest quality porcelain and then hand-decorated with ceramic paints by painters. The figurine is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which includes information about manual production and decoration, as well as information about the product (name, name of the designer, year of design). In case of figurines, a unique product number is additionally entered into the certificate (assigned according to the factory marking systems). The product has a special protection in the form of under-glazed and glazed signs.

The designs of the first figures were created in the Institute of Industrial Design around 1955. A group of designers, including Henryk Jędrasiak, Lubomir Tomaszewski, Hanna Orthwein and Mieczysław Naruszewicz, were tasked with designing intimate ceramic sculptures to decorate a modern interior. In total, about one hundred models were created, which depict mainly animals, less often people.

Lubomir Tomaszewski was born in 1923 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Sculpture. Ceramician, sculptor, painter. Designer of the figures of the Miasteczko Family in the 50's under the patronage of IWP in Warsaw. Since 2005 he has been cooperating with the AS Ćmielów Porcelain Factory. He is an outstanding figure strongly inscribed in the history and culture. For over 50 years the artist has lived and worked in the USA, near New York. He has had over 250 solo and group exhibitions all over the world. He is a creator of over 50 miniature porcelain sculptures, produced by the AS Ćmielów Porcelain Factory.
