Salt&Pepper Mill M Terracotta by G. Sowden for HAY

The elegant Salt&Pepper mill designed by George Sowden. It is made of the highest quality stainless steel and ceramics. The mill allows you to adjust the size of abrasion of salt or pepper grain to your needs. It is characterized by exceptional durability and solid performance. Minimalist design will make it survive the test of time as a functional kitchen appliance and decorative element on the table. The mill is simple and pleasant to use thanks to its uniform shape, which is topped with a handy knob. It is available in two heights and different colours. Dimensions of the mill: height: 20 cm, diameter: 6 cm. To fill the mill the knob needs to be removed.

George Sowden studied architecture at Gloucestershire College of Art. In the 1970s, he moved to Milan to work with brands such as Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti. In the 1980s he became one of the founders of the Memphis Group design collective. He won many design awards, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award. Today he still lives and works in Milan.
