Reproduction of The Great Wave of Kanagawa woodblock print by the Japanese artist Hokusai. The Great Wave of Kanagawa was published sometime between 1829 and 1833 in the late Edo period as the first print in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. It is Hokusai's most famous work and one of the most recognizable works of Japanese art in the world. The reproduction includes the original age toning which gives it a great colour and antique look.
Each artwork is printed on heavyweight acid-free museum quality fine-art paper 225g. Frame is not included.
By shining a new light on the past art, we can show you historical masterpieces and iconic artworks in a new way in the yestersen posters collection. The prints are made using Japanese archival inks with chromolithography technology. The old school illustrations, artworks seen in museums or doctor's office are rediscovered and get a second life. From the rare books, private archives, or historic collections in libraries, the illustrations get to contemporary interiors, connecting the past with the present.
