The 75 Mini limited edition desk lamp is a unique interpretation of a classic Sir Kenneth Grange lamp by the designer Paul Smith. It combines timeless, functional design with the play of vivid colours. According to Paul Smith, the colours of Edition One evoke the atmosphere and warmth of summer, while Edition Two and Four use deep colours from autumn walks. Edition Three is a version referring to the colour palette and thus a tribute to the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, co-founder of the De Stijl group and creator of neoplasticism. Although in this series, it is the colours that are at the forefront of the series, this still remains on a par with functionality thanks to the fixed spring mechanism, which ensures maximum flexibility of movement and balance. The aluminium finish is light and durable, while the cast iron base provides solid stability.
A 6W LED E14 bulb is included.
Anglepoise - a tool for illumination. The quintessence of this brand are words of Sir Kenneth Grange: "Anglepoise is a minor miracle of balance, a quality of life that we don't value as we should." Anglepoise's roots go back to 1932, when British engineer George Carwardine, a car suspension specialist, invented the spring and crank mechanism. This invention allowed him to set it at the slightest touch, and when released, it held its position. It was from this mechanism that the design of the first Anglepoise work lamp was born. It quickly became an icon of design and its addictive, anthropomorphic form is recognized and admired around the world to this day. Over the years, the design of the lamp has developed under the watchful eye of outstanding designers, without losing its basic function and unique, distinctive form. From the creation of the Original 122, through the development of extended versions of the acclaimed industrial designer Sir Kenneth Grange, to the recent collaboration with Paul Smith and Margaret Howell, the incomparable British design remains at the heart of this progressive British brand. Today, Anglepoise lamps can be found in homes and offices, restaurants, bars and hotels in over 50 countries.
