Ćmielów Design Studio
White Nectar mugs by Modus Design are an example of a product that combines modern design with traditional Polish porcelain. The tall and straight mug with a decorative handle that was originally designed as part of the classic teacups produced by the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory in the 1930s. They were made of white matt porcelain.
They are available in various colours.
Modus Design has been operating since 1976, initially as a ceramic studio founded by Mark Cecula in SoHo, New York. The distinguishing mark of the studio are alternative proposals in the field of functional and decorative ceramics, which have been developed for many years. Since January 2013, together with Polish Porcelain Factories "Ćmielów" and "Chodzież" S.A., it has been creating Ćmielów Design Studio, a design studio under the artistic direction of Marek Cecula. The philosophy of the studio is to return to the movement "artists in industry" - cooperation between designers and factories. The brand was created for customers looking for contemporary aesthetics, originality and good design. This place combines over two hundred years of experience in the production of table porcelain "Ćmielów" with the artistic sensitivity of contemporary designers.
